Must-Have:
Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
Traveler experience preferred but first-time travelers will be accepted.
Ability to start IVs, perform triage, and interpret telemetry is essential.
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
Any call-offs or additional RTO may lead to a cancel and DNR.
No block scheduling is available.
The unit will only accept contracts for 13 weeks or more.
Candidates should be prepared to float between the Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health, based on the greatest need.
A minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week schedule may be required, potentially leading to every other weekend.
The patient population includes diverse age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
The unit experiences approximately 250 visits per day and operates with a patient ratio of 1:3-5.
Interdisciplinary support services include IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Radiology, and more.
A teamwork approach is essential, and adherence to policies is strongly enforced.
Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of the position.
