You will utilize evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making skills. Compassionate communication skills are essential for creating a safe patient environment. The unit handles a fast-paced environment with various patient types and diagnoses. Common cases include trauma, stroke, burn injuries, and cardiac events. Patient ratios vary based on the clinical area and acuity levels. The supporting staff includes ED Technicians, Unit Secretaries, Charge Nurses, and Pharmacists. Clinical technology includes electronic medical records and various patient monitoring equipment. Clinicians may be asked to float to transition care units as needed. Scrubs are required to be royal blue in color.
