Description:
This position is for a Travel RN in the Emergency Department.
The unit has 52 beds and 134 staff members.
Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 technician, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod.
Night shift staffing mirrors that of the day shift.
The average patient ratio is 3:1, with low acuity cases at 5:1.
Pediatric cases utilize a team nursing approach.
The unit employs Alaris equipment and uses Meditech for electronic medical records.
Typical procedures performed include IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and care for pediatric patients.
The ideal candidate will be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should be diverse and capable of learning quickly.
The team consists of members who are adaptable and can handle high-pressure situations.
Experience in larger facilities and familiarity with Meditech are preferred.
