Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department License: Must have a valid state nursing license Certifications: ACLS BLS NIH PALS Must-Have: Previous travel assignment experience Charge and triage experience IV starts and phlebotomy skills Description: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will be responsible for providing care to patients with urgent and emergent needs. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:4. Candidates will be expected to perform charge duties and triage as required. Skills in IV starts, phlebotomy, and central line care are essential. Previous experience as a charge nurse and preceptor is preferred. The unit sees approximately 150 visits per day. Nurses may encounter patients with COVID-19. The unit has 27 beds and will support a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics. Candidates must have worked in an Emergency Department with a volume of at least 125 visits per day within the last 8 months. References from previous supervisors are required to verify experience. No requested time off will be permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Travel experience is required for consideration. All candidates must complete facility-specific compliance modules upon hire. Failure to complete modules timely may result in contract cancellation. Candidates must pass specific exams related to emergency care as part of the clearance process. The role requires strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations. Candidates should be prepared for potential contact with patients in critical condition.
