Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required.
Must-Have:
- Cerner experience is required.
- Candidate must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Description:
The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients within the emergency room setting.
Candidates must have general emergency department experience with both adult and pediatric patients.
Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.
Skills in blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, and starting and maintaining IVs are essential.
Candidates should be familiar with emergency medications and isolation precautions.
Triage experience is preferred.
Completing required training modules prior to the start of the assignment is necessary.
References supporting 2 years of experience within the last 3 years are required.
Candidates are not permitted to request time off during the first two weeks of the assignment.
Failure to comply with completion timelines for required certifications and trainings may result in cancellation of the assignment.
The emergency department has a daily census of approximately 90 visits and is equipped with 39 rooms and beds.
Candidates should be prepared to handle a fast-paced environment and participate in interdisciplinary support as needed.
