Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required Must-Have: General Emergency Department experience Previous charge experience preferred Experience with Cerner charting system Recent experience in a community hospital setting Travel experience required Description: The role involves providing care to patients in an emergency room setting. Nurses will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care. The typical patient ratio is 1:4-6. Weekend coverage includes every other weekend, with a total of 6 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule. The nurse will treat a variety of conditions, including abdominal pain, asthma, and drug overdose. Skills in managing ventilated patients, intubation, and administration of emergency medications are required. Staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to ensure comprehensive patient care. Mental health and behavioral conditions will also be part of the nurse's responsibilities. The position requires a strong ability to assess and respond to urgent medical situations.
