Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Schedule: Every other weekend required; must be available to meet departmental needs; no block scheduling available
Highlights:
- High-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ visits annually) in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- 101-bed ED with typical patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Cerner electronic medical record system with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
- No floating outside the ED; must be flexible to work across all sections within the Emergency Department
- Support staff includes techs, triage personnel, and unit clerks on both day and night shifts
- Team-oriented environment known for welcoming culture and serving a diverse, multi-cultural community
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or high-volume ED environment
- Current certifications required before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
- Commitment to patient experience standards including AIDET methodology and respectful communication
