# Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Nurse (RN) – North Carolina

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling meets department needs; flexibility to work across all emergency department areas

  • Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical cases, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
  • State-of-the-art equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors; Cerner documentation system
  • Supportive unit staffing with dedicated techs, unit clerks, cardiac monitoring, and triage support available
  • Float only within emergency department sections; flexibility required across all ED areas
  • Work alongside an experienced, award-winning team recognized for nursing excellence and clinical quality
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
  • Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
  • High-volume emergency department experience (100,000+ annual visits) strongly preferred
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
  • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
  • Active RN license in good standing
