# Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Nurse (RN) – North Carolina

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling meets department needs; flexibility to work across all emergency department areas

- Work in a 101-bed emergency department within a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center serving over 100,000 visits annually
- Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical cases, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
- State-of-the-art equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors; Cerner documentation system
- Supportive unit staffing with dedicated techs, unit clerks, cardiac monitoring, and triage support available
- Float only within emergency department sections; flexibility required across all ED areas
- Work alongside an experienced, award-winning team recognized for nursing excellence and clinical quality
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
- Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
- High-volume emergency department experience (100,000+ annual visits) strongly preferred
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Active RN license in good standing
