Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at a Level 4 Trauma Center located in rural West Texas. This facility serves the community of Sweetwater, Texas, providing critical care in an 8-bed Emergency Department.

The ER manages an average daily volume of 30 patients, supported by EM Board-Certified Physicians on-site 24/7. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency setting.
  • Manage a diverse patient population presenting with various acute illnesses and injuries, including trauma.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, to develop and execute patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room setting.
