Floating may occur within the facility or to nearby facilities. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, but may change based on needs. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience is expected. 1-year minimum experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) system required. Traveler compliance includes floating to other units as requested. Travelers will not extend for a fourth consecutive contract. Staff will only float to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented. Modules are billable, and travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules. Travelers are required to complete pre-assignment testing and modules before starting. Regular attendance in orientation is a requirement. Travelers must maintain active engagement with all compliance updates.
