Floating may be required depending on need. Floating may occur within the facility or to nearby facilities. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend but may change based on need. 1st time travelers will be reviewed based on experience. Staff will need to manage a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include triaging patients and managing various acute conditions. Experience with emergency medications and care of ventilated patients is essential. Successful candidates will have skills in phlebotomy and EKG interpretation. Mental and behavioral health management experience is preferred. EMR experience is required. Experience with designated specialties and complex acute diagnoses is expected. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is necessary. All staff may be required to float to other units based on staffing needs. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. Documentation must be thorough and accurate as per facility policies. Compliance with safety and infection control protocols is mandatory. Annual training requirements must be successfully completed.
