Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in specialty License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Description: This position supports a critical access hospital. The role offers a variety of experiences in caring for both Emergency Department and Acute Swing Bed patients. Enjoy the surrounding natural beauty and outdoor activities available in the region. RNs in this position will care for admits and observation patients with assistance from LPNs and CNAs. Staff will float to the Emergency Department when patients arrive. The Emergency Department typically sees a low census of patients throughout a 24-hour period. Typical admits are rehabilitation or swing bed patients in need of treatments such as antibiotics or therapy before transition to home. The position may involve a few IVIG infusions and port flushes. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy and Interpretation Services. The Daily Census is approximately 5 patients, and there are 5 rooms available for patient care. The nursing staff will work collaboratively in a supportive environment to provide high-quality care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
