Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Candidates must be able to pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day. On-call requirements apply. All requests for time off must be included in the initial submission. Description: The position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, handling patient care for a variety of conditions. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1:4. Experience with the care of ventilated patients, central line management, and sedation monitoring is essential. The candidate must be familiar with the interpretation of dysrhythmias and isolation precautions. Moderate sedation administration and triage experience are critical. The department serves a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient visits average around 85. Candidates are expected to work weekends and must provide coverage as required. Compliance with attendance policies is mandatory, with limits on missed shifts without reasonable explanation. Passing a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and a Moderate Sedation Test on the first day of orientation is required. Experience with recent charting systems is preferred but not mandatory. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary services, including physical therapy and pharmacy.
