Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Georgia

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week (preference disclosed at submission); 4:1 patient ratio; Every other weekend required; No call required; 12-hour orientation
Highlights:
- Level 3 Trauma Center (in process), Primary Stroke Center, CHF, STEMI, and Chest Pain Center
- 59-bed Emergency Department with daily census of 250 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary support
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract (must be finalized at submission)
- Contract length determines non-billable orientation hours; modules completed during orientation
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (TNCC, ENPC, and CPI preferred)
- Required Skills: Care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage experience (continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring preferred)
- Telemetry competency exam required
- Experience with all patient age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Full compliance required prior to start date; all documents due Tuesday before orientation
