Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Room in an acute care setting License: Current and valid Driver's License or State-issued ID required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ESI Must-Have: Current and valid Driver's License or State-issued ID required. Utility bill in the Traveler's name with matching address within the last three months of the projected start date is required. Address must be greater than 75 miles from contracted facility. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Description: This position requires strong clinical skills to care for highly acute patients. The department sees 175-200 patients a day in a fast-paced environment. Nurses will float within their scope to meet facility needs as required. There may also be a requirement to float to sister facilities if needed. The patient population includes a diverse age range, from neonates to geriatrics. Comprehensive care includes managing patients with conditions such as strokes, trauma, and various emergencies. The staff collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. Nurse to patient ratios may fluctuate based on department needs. Candidates must demonstrate skills in areas such as management of acute patients, emergency medications, and triage. Applicants with experience in charge roles, trauma level I or II settings, and community hospitals are preferred. Clinical modules will need to be completed during the orientation phase.
