Description:
Seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department.
The unit is currently under renovation with two fixed-wing helicopter pads post-renovation.
The Emergency Department sees a high volume of patients, averaging between 200-220 per day.
The patient types include trauma, cardiovascular events, and more.
Common diagnoses may include GSWs, stabbings, multi-trauma, MVC, MI, CVA, hypothermia, drownings, falls, and overdoses.
Patient ratios vary from 3:1 to 6:1 based on clinical area and patient acuity.
Support will be provided by ED Techs, Unit Secretaries, Charge Nurses, and Critical Care Pharmacists.
The ideal candidate will utilize evidence-based practice while leading efforts to create a safe patient environment.
Familiarity with technology and equipment such as EMR and point-of-care ultrasound is required.
Floating to the ED Transition Care Unit may occur as needed.
Candidates will be expected to contribute to delivering the best patient experience across the continuum of care.
