Key Responsibilities of the RN - Emergency Department (ED)- Conduct rapid and comprehensive nursing assessments
- Perform ESI Triage and focused reassessments
- Manage pain assessments and interventions
- Screen for and provide interventions for sepsis and strokes
- Participate in trauma activations and MCI responses
- Administer blood and procedural sedation
- Deliver pediatric emergency care and behavioral health crisis intervention
- Monitor vital signs and utilize EKG, defibrillation equipment
- Perform IV insertions, blood collection, and medication administration
- Assist with sutures/staples, wound care, and splinting
Requirements of the RN - Emergency Department (ED)- Minimum 1-2 years current acute care ED RN experience
- BLS, ALS, NIH, PALS, TNCC & ENPC certifications
- CPI Blue card required
- Trauma level 1 or level 2 experience preferred
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
