Description:
Backfill Travel RN Emergency Room position available.
The position requires working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The unit has 39 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4.
There is one unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor.
Type of equipment includes crash carts, level one equipment, Alaris pumps, and bedside cardiac monitors.
Documentation system is MediTech.
A four-week schedule is posted two weeks prior to the start date.
Preferred schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week.
Floating policy includes holding in the ER during capacity, which is rare during certain months.
Patient experience requires rounding every 30 minutes to 1 hour and conducting bedside shift reports.
Procedures performed include chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repair, and blood product administration.
Candidates must be multi-task oriented and focused on throughput.
Teamwork is essential in this position.
