Job Title: Travel RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, CPI Blue Card Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This is a travel RN position in the Emergency Department. The facility has a total of 52 beds and a staff of 134. The typical staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per unit during both day and night shifts. Patient ratios are approximately 3:1, with low acuity at 5:1, and pediatric patients are managed through a team nursing approach. Typical equipment used includes Alaris and Meditech for electronic medical records. Candidates must have experience in trauma nursing along with the required certifications. Experience in larger facilities with similar bed counts is preferred. Skills and characteristics that are beneficial include the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and a diverse background. All nurses are expected to consistently manage patient scans and medication administration in compliance with unit policies. Teamwork and the ability to take initiative are essential for success in this role. Experience in traveling to facilities larger than 52 beds is a plus.
