The nurse will handle a variety of patient issues, including but not limited to abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma management, drug overdose, and respiratory infections.

First-time travelers are accepted. The nurse will handle a variety of patient issues, including but not limited to abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma management, drug overdose, and respiratory infections. The nurse will be responsible for managing ventilated patients, administering emergency medications, and conducting procedural sedation monitoring. Experience in trauma care and emergency medicine is crucial. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically four patients per nurse during the day. Floating to like units may be necessary based on facility needs. Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit. The daily census is approximately 100 patients. Candidates should be prepared to manage a diverse set of patient diagnoses and procedures. Interdisciplinary support services are available for patients as needed. Travelers are expected to follow all facility protocols and guidelines. Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work weekends is essential.
