The unit has 8 beds with a total of 23 RNs. The patient ratio is 1:4. Key equipment includes GE Monitors, a Nursecall system, Small Ventilator, Baxter Pumps, and Zoll Defibs. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates must have independent ER experience and essential skills like IVs, EKGs, medication mixing, and scanning of medications for each patient. Candidates with experience in a freestanding emergency department setting are preferred. The ideal candidate is a team player, outgoing, and able to work independently. Holidays and weekends are required, with weekends rotating. Three weekend shifts occur, including Fridays and Saturdays, in a four-week schedule.
