Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Colorado

Location: Thornton, Colorado

Schedule: Travel assignment; Emergency Department shifts (Day, Mid, or Night shift available); 4:1 patient ratio; approximately 145 patients daily in a 40-bed Emergency Department
Highlights:
- Level 1 and Level 2 trauma activations with comprehensive emergency care including stroke, sepsis, procedural sedation, and behavioral health crisis intervention
- Collaborative team environment with approximately 110 staff members including RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Secretaries
- Modern equipment including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, Belmont rapid infusers, Lifepack monitors, and GE transport monitors
- EMR system: Meditech
- High-volume, fast-paced emergency department serving a diverse patient population including pediatric and adult emergency cases
- Opportunities to utilize advanced emergency nursing skills in triage, trauma response, and mass casualty incident (MCI) protocols
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of current acute care Emergency Department RN experience required
- Active RN license in Colorado (or eligible for compact state licensure)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI Blue Card (all required)
- Preferred: Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience
- Preferred: Prior Meditech EMR experience
