Job Title: Travel RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current hospital Emergency Department experience License: Current RN license in the state of practice Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Candidates must possess the following skills to be considered for the role: - Minimum 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department experience - BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certifications Description: The Emergency Department has 52 beds and a staff of 134. Staff includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 technician, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod on night shift. Patient ratios are 3:1 average for general cases, 5:1 for low acuity, and team nursing for pediatrics. Candidates should have a good grasp of patient experience and knowledge of typical procedures performed, including IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and care for pediatric patients. Experience in a large facility is preferred, along with Meditech familiarity. Candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A diverse skill set and the ability to learn quickly are highly valued attributes. The unit emphasizes the importance of scanning patients and medications consistently.
