Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Snellville, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend required, 36 orientation hours, maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

Highlights:

  • High-volume emergency department with 46 rooms and average daily census of 135 patients
  • Full-spectrum patient population from infants to geriatrics
  • Epic EMR system with Pyxis and SBAR protocols
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • May float to sister campus as needed for optimal staffing coverage
  • No on-call requirements; structured scheduling with self-scheduling options

Requirements:

  • Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Clinical competencies must include: BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV vasopressor administration, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage
  • Full compliance documentation required to start on time; late compliance results in 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
  • Holiday availability: must work major holidays that fall during assignment period per facility policy
