Candidates must have 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience.
Description:
The unit has 27 beds and a staff of 50 RNs and 25 medics.
Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics, with an increase of 4-5 RNs at 11 AM and 1-2 RNs at 3 PM.
Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics.
Patient ratios are 4-6:1.
The equipment utilized includes EMR - Meditech.
Candidates with experience in high acuity Emergency Rooms and fast-paced environments with high volume will be prioritized.
Experience managing patient ratios of 5:1 is preferred.
Typical procedures performed include RSI, Sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psychiatric patients, and transfers to other facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a relaxed, easy-going demeanor, be friendly, team-oriented, and respectful.
Preferred certifications include ENPC, NRP, and NIH stroke scale training.
There is no floating required in this position.
The dress code consists of navy blue or white scrubs.
Weekends require four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period.
