- Experience in both adult and pediatric emergency care
- Knowledge of common diagnoses and types of patients including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis
- Ability to manage high acuity patients, as well as routine care such as sprains and sutures
- Familiarity with mixed adult and pediatric care settings
Description:
The position requires managing patients in a dynamic emergency department.
The emergency department does not have a separate pediatric area, and all patients are seen in all zones.
Staffing ratios are typically 4:1 but may extend to 5:1 during peak census periods.
Weekend expectations include six shifts within a six-week schedule.
Navy blue scrubs are required for this position.
The role involves administration of drips, routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation.
Candidates must have proven experience handling both adult and pediatric emergencies.
