Description

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: October 17, 2026

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required. Patient ratio of 1:2 for days and nights. 24-hour orientation provided. Orientation held every other Monday.

Highlights:
  • Emergency Department setting with 9 beds serving all age groups from infants to geriatrics
  • Combined adult and pediatric emergency care with diverse case mix including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and behavioral health presentations
  • Cerner charting system utilized throughout the facility
  • Travel assignment with community hospital environment and interdisciplinary support including radiology and interpretation services
  • Previous charge experience preferred; minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required with strong reference history
Requirements:
  • Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS through American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Additional certifications required or preferred: CPI, MAB, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS
  • Proficiency with Cerner charting system required
  • Experience with 1:4 patient ratios preferred
  • Minimum 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
  • Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility location
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
  • Must complete approximately 8 hours of non-billable modules prior to start date
