The nurse will manage patients of all age groups, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The staff-to-patient ratio is 4 patients per nurse. Floating within the facility is required based on the scope of practice. No on-call shifts are required for this position. The nurse is expected to work every other weekend. If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work it. If more major holidays fall within the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work two of the holidays. Full compliance is required to start on time. Maximum allowable requested time off is 7 days per contract. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with pre-approved time off available. The facility supports interdisciplinary collaboration, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The daily census is approximately 265 visits. The unit is equipped to handle a variety of emergency situations and patient diagnoses.
