Description: The Emergency Department offers comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups. The department is staffed 24/7 by a highly trained team to meet the needs of the community. The Emergency Department team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff. The department treats more than 60,000 patients per year. The Nurse to Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical and trauma patients to 1:3-4 for all other patients. An associate degree in nursing is required. Two years of experience is preferred; however, candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered if they have the required qualifications. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory. NIH OHR and RED CROSS certifications must be held. The candidate must possess a TNCC certification and be secured on-site.
