Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 - 23:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years; will consider 18 months with specific qualifications License: Registered Nurse in Alabama or Compact License Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NIH OHR, RED CROSS, TNCC, SECURE on site Must-Have: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week. Experience in Emergency Department with recent work in specialty. Description: The Emergency Department offers comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups. The department is staffed 24/7 by a highly trained team to meet the needs of the community. The Emergency Department team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff. The department treats more than 60,000 patients per year. The Nurse to Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical and trauma patients to 1:3-4 for all other patients. An associate degree in nursing is required. Two years of experience is preferred; however, candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered if they have the required qualifications. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory. NIH OHR and RED CROSS certifications must be held. The candidate must possess a TNCC certification and be secured on-site.
