Description:
The Emergency Department offers comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups.
It is staffed 24/7 by a highly trained team to meet the needs of the community.
The ED team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
The Emergency Department is a 54-bed state-designated trauma center as well as a stroke center.
It treats more than 60,000 patients per year.
The nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 with critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for all other patients.
Education Required:
Associate degree in nursing.
Certifications Required:
AHA ACLS
AHA BLS
AHA PALS
TNCC
Secure on-site.
Experience Required:
2 years of experience, with consideration for 18 months if working under the highest level of professional license, and 2 years of recent experience in the field of specialty.
Position is clinical and patient-facing.
EMR used is Meditech.
Scrub colors/dress code: solid navy.
Guaranteed hours: 36.
