Description:
The Emergency Department has 38 beds, including trauma bays, a burn room, a psych room, and a vertical treatment area.
Staffing levels vary according to volume and acuity, with a free charge always available.
The typical staff includes RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries.
Patient ratios depend on acuity and volume.
Equipment used is standard for emergency and trauma cases.
The electronic medical record system is Meditech.
Candidates without necessary skills will not be considered for the role.
Preferred candidates will have ENPC certification.
Typical procedures performed include certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn care.
The ideal candidate should be easy-going, flexible, have a positive attitude, and a patient-first philosophy.
Candidates must complete required certifications within a 30-day grace period if not already possessed.
No floating is required, but cross-training for a sister facility may occur.
The dress code requires royal blue scrubs, preferably branded.
Self-scheduling is available, with a requirement for four weekend shifts per month.
