You must have an active Arizona RN license or a compact state license and at least 1 year of recent emergency department experience. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is important.
Recommended skills include strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective communication. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are often preferred.
