The unit has 39 beds and a patient ratio of 4:1, with surge beds assigned to each section. The staffing includes a free lead, unit clerk, sitters for behavioral health, paramedics, EMTs, and LPNs. Equipment utilized includes Rapid Infuser and Glidescope. The documentation system in use is Meditech EDM. Scheduling requires every other weekend. Patient experience is a key focus, emphasizing teamwork and individual care. The following procedures are performed on the unit: Intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting. The required uniform is charcoal grey scrubs. Unit specific policies and guidelines will be provided upon hire.
