TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Bowling Green, Kentucky, 42104!

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Ability to assess, treat, and manage adult and pediatric emergency patients in a collaborative manner. Provide excellent patient experience. Give clearly defined discharge instructions. Willingness to provide patient-centered care and move patients through their emergency department visit with quality and efficiency. Description: Current daily volume is 105. Number of beds: 20. Patient ratios: 4:1. Unit staffing includes RN, unit clerk/monitor tech, paramedic, and advanced care tech. Type of equipment includes GE monitors. Documentation system utilized is MEDITECH. Scheduling requires working every other weekend with 36 hours per week outlined. No floating policy in place. Patient experience requirements include using AIDET, communication boards, and rounding. Advanced skills needed for this position include performing procedures such as laceration repairs, closed reductions, intubations, lumbar punctures, I&Ds, and splinting. Dress code includes scrubs of any color, solid pants, and allows print tops and jackets. Camo, denim, hoodies, or fleece are not permitted. Key qualities of the unit include tenured staff and charge nurses on both day and night shifts. Average length of stay for discharge is 150 minutes. Admitted length of stay is 240 minutes with very few admitted holds exceeding 3-4 hours after the admission order is placed. There is an engaged provider group that will see patients quickly, resulting in few patient complaints. Teamwork is highly valued within the staff.
