Description:
The unit has 50 beds and a staff of 68.
There are 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMTs/Medics on day shifts.
Mid-shift has 8-10 RNs.
Night shifts have 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMTs/Medics.
Patient ratios are 1:4 or 1:5, estimated but not guaranteed.
Common equipment includes EKGs, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose monitors.
The EMR system used is Meditech.
Candidates are encouraged to bring an energetic, easy style and a collaborative approach.
The ideal candidate will have patient care experience and effective communication skills with staff and providers.
The department engages in a variety of emergency care needs.
The unit may have new equipment and technology that enhances the work experience.
The tenure and experience of staff provide a supportive environment.
