Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: August 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Emergency Department shifts with 4 weekend shifts per month required. Flexible scheduling available during day and night shifts to support 24/7 operations.

Highlights:

• Level II Trauma Center providing comprehensive emergency and trauma care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• 86-bed Emergency Department with acuity-based patient ratios, typically 4:1 with surge support during peak volumes
• Meditech EMR system used for comprehensive documentation and patient management
• Exposure to full scope of emergency procedures including trauma resuscitation, advanced airway management, vascular access, cardiac emergencies, and critical care interventions
• Collaborative team environment with dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator support and additional staffing during peak hours
• Opportunity to participate in stroke, STEMI, and trauma activations with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of acute care emergency department experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR system highly preferred
• Trauma center experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, high energy, and ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
