Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department.
The unit has 12 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4.
There is no unit staffing description regarding secretaries or tech availability.
Equipment includes Hamilton Ventilators, EKG machines, and bedside monitors.
The documentation system used is Meditech.
Scheduling requires 36 hours per week with rotating weekends.
A floating policy exists to other facilities if staffing allows or if the 36-hour requirement cannot be met.
The nurse must have experience with drip titrations and breathing treatments for both pediatric and adult patients.
Procedures performed on this unit include pelvic exams, suture setup, and orthopedic splinting.
The preferred uniform colors are blue or black scrubs.
Tenured staff have been operational in the community for 13 years.
A new 68-bed hospital has been approved for construction to extend local services.
