Description:
Unit Information:
The unit has 8 beds.
There are 15 staff members.
Staffing includes two day shift nurses: one charge nurse and one additional nurse.
There is one nurse starting at 9 am and one at 11 am.
The night shift includes one charge nurse and several other nurses.
Patient ratios are 1:4.
The unit uses Meditech for electronic medical records.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include:
IV insertion, bloodwork, Foley catheter placement, breathing treatments, and medication administration.

Floating Area(s):
No floating is required, but hours may be provided at other facilities within 25 miles.
Dress Code:
Scrub color is navy blue.
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
All staff should adhere to the healthcare policies in place.
Weekends and On-call:
Staff will be required to work rotating weekends (4 out of 8 requirements).
There is no on-call requirement.
