Description:
The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse.
The unit has a total of 12 beds with a staff of 6-8.
Day shift typically consists of 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary.
The patient-to-RN ratio is 4:1.
Essential types of equipment used include EMR.
Candidates preferred to have a strong background in Neuro and Cardiac care.
A high energy and fast-paced work environment is expected.
Typical procedures performed include STEMI, Stroke/TPA, and RSI.
Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, but this is not mandatory.
No competitor emblems are allowed on clothing.
The unit has achieved a 12-minute door-to-needle time for TPA.
It also holds the record for the fastest bed assignment time within the division.
