Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Texas**Start Date:** September 22, 2026**Location:** San Antonio, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Standard ER shifts; day shifts include 7 registered nurses plus CNC with staffing increasing to 18-20 RNs during peak hours; night shifts include 6-7 registered nurses plus CNC. Four weekend shifts required per month.**Highlights:**- Work in a busy 86-bed adult emergency department at a Level II Trauma Center serving an acute care population- Acuity-based patient ratios, typically 4:1 with surge capability to meet patient volume demands- Utilize Meditech EMR system in a fast-paced, high-energy environment- Comprehensive procedures including trauma resuscitation, cardiac emergencies, stroke protocols, airway management, and critical care interventions- Participate in specialized trauma activations, massive transfusion protocols, STEMI and stroke alerts- Collaborate with a team of approximately 105 healthcare professionals committed to emergency care excellence**Requirements:**- Active Texas RN license (or eligibility for licensure)- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIH, and CPI certifications required- Demonstrated expertise in caring for acute care populations- Experience with Meditech EMR system strongly preferred- Excellent communication skills and high-energy, can-do attitude- Trauma center experience preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a dynamic emergency department team at a Level II Trauma Center where you'll utilize advanced clinical skills across a wide spectrum of emergency conditions.
