Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Will be trained as a relief Charge Nurse in the department. Will also provide Critical Response support to other departments. Unit provides 24/7 emergency care for adult and pediatric acute injuries and life-threatening conditions. Patients requiring a higher level of care are stabilized and transferred accordingly. Familiarity with Compass/Cerner EHR is beneficial. Navy blue scrubs are standard attire.
