Job Summary
Join a dedicated healthcare team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a High-Risk Perinatal Registered Nurse. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to expectant mothers and their fetuses facing complex medical conditions. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic hospital environment, focusing on comprehensive assessment, intervention, and support for high-risk pregnancies.
This is a travel assignment, offering an opportunity to contribute your expertise to a critical care setting. You will play a vital role in monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, managing complications, and educating families throughout their perinatal journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to high-risk perinatal patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments, including continuous electronic fetal monitoring.
- Administer medications, blood products, and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Respond to emergent situations, providing timely and effective interventions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
