Job Summary
This is a travel Registered Nurse opportunity specializing in High-Risk Perinatal care at a leading healthcare facility in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves providing expert nursing care to pregnant patients experiencing complex medical conditions or complications that pose risks to maternal or fetal health.
Nurses will be responsible for continuous assessment, intervention, and support for patients throughout their perinatal journey, ensuring optimal outcomes for both mother and baby. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing high-acuity situations within a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to high-risk perinatal patients.
- Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rate, and uterine activity, interpreting findings and initiating appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, including IV therapies, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on their condition, treatment plans, and potential outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Prepare patients for and assist with diagnostic procedures and emergent deliveries.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, dedicated experience as a Registered Nurse in a High-Risk Perinatal or similar specialty unit.
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or a compact state.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
