Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,638 to $1,820 per week in Charleston, WV

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an ED Holding Unit at a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including accessing ports, blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, and starting IVs
• Administer and manage medications including heparin protocols and cardiac drips (no titration)
• Monitor and care for patients with neurological and psychiatric conditions including CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal
• Manage respiratory support including external CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), oxygen face masks, and non-invasive airway management
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed; document all care using CERNER electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission; active license must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of in-specialty experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association)
• CPI certification required (must be scheduled and obtained more than 1 week before start date)
• CERNER experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Med/Surg Telemetry and/or ER Holding preferred
• Experience with care of ventilated patients and tracheostomy management preferred
• First-time travelers with appropriate specialty experience are welcome to apply
