Standard Procedures: Airway and respiratory support including oxygen administration and bag-valve-mask ventilation. Assistance with rapid sequence intubation and endotracheal tube management. Chest tube setup and management, along with needle thoracostomy assistance. Vascular access procedures such as peripheral IV insertion and central line assistance. Trauma procedures including primary and secondary assessments, hemorrhage control, and trauma resuscitation participation. Emergency childbirth assistance and disaster response procedures. Point-of-care testing and specimen handling. Pediatric emergency procedures such as IV insertion and resuscitation. Skills in managing sepsis alerts and activating stroke/STEMI alerts. Cardiac procedures including 12-lead ECG and administering critical medications. Wound management and stabilization of fractures and orthopedic injuries.
