TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Pasadena, Texas, 77504!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 14:00 - 02:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current nursing license Certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, CPI with TIC Must-Have: - Advanced critical thinking and skills - Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, Stroke, and Sepsis Description: The emergency department consists of 30 beds. The unit is staffed with 49 FTEs and has 6 PRN staff members, along with 2 leadership personnel. Day shift includes a charge nurse and registered nurses based on patient volume. Night shift includes a charge nurse and registered nurses based on patient volume as well. Patient ratios are 1:5 at the most, depending on acuity. The department is equipped with advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines. The electronic medical record system currently in use is Meditech and will transition to Expanse. The ideal candidate should have adult and pediatric emergency department experience. Candidates must have certifications aligned under nurse contract and pool. Common procedures performed in the unit include thoracotomy, arterial lines, and massive transfusion protocols. The best personality fit includes flexibility, accountability, responsibility, and being a great team player. Candidates may be required to float to two free-standing emergency departments if needed. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs and adherence to the dress code policy. Weekend shifts will be worked on an alternating basis.
