Description:
This is a contract position for an RN in the Emergency Department.
The shift will be from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The unit has 26 beds and a staff of 67.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1.
The night shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Health Unit Coordinator, 6-7 RNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians/Paramedics.
The unit utilizes various equipment including ventilators and EKG machines.
Typical procedures performed include IV insertion, EKGs, Foley catheterization, lumbar punctures, central lines, moderate sedation, and cardioversion.
Candidates should be team players who are open to learning and eager to help.
The dress code consists of cobalt/royal blue scrubs only.
The unit values energetic and fun personalities.
Consideration will be given to candidates with prior experience as travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters.
