Candidates with experience in Freestanding Emergency Departments are preferred. Description: The Emergency Department operates 24/7, providing critical care. The unit consists of 6 rooms and 4 vertical beds. There are 10 full-time employees and 4 part-time employees. Day shift staffing includes 3 RNs, including a charge nurse, and 1 paramedic. Night shift staffing has 3 RNs, including a charge nurse. Patient ratios are typically 3 to 4 patients per nurse. Available equipment includes vital sign machines, BiPAP, vents, nebulizers, ortho glass, and AEDs. The unit uses an electronic medical record system. Typical procedures in the unit include: IV blood draws EKGs Foley catheter placements Orthopedic splint applications Wound care The ideal candidate will be a team worker. Weekend work may be required.
