Job Title: RN - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Required Description: Contract position for a registered nurse in the emergency room. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department. The facility has 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track spaces, and 5 behavioral health rooms. There are 111 staff members, including day shift charge nurses and mid-shifts. Patient ratios are 1:4 in the emergency department, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma cases. Essential equipment includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Candidates should have certifications in ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS to be considered. Preferred qualifications include experience with Meditech, trauma care, and inpatient care. Typical procedures on the unit include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assistance, central line placement, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation. The ideal candidate is a multitasker, a team player, and a self-starter. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Candidates must adhere to all established unit policies and guidelines.
